CourtLink Launches First Web-Based Service to Offer Comprehensive
Access Across Both Federal and State Court Records.
CourtLink Adds New Jersey and Connecticut State Court Content Access,
And Enhances CaseStream Search Functionality
BELLEVUE, Wash., Dec. 13 /PRNewswire/ --
CourtLink(R) Corp., a leading provider of online services for
accessing court records and filing legal documents, this week launched
the latest version of its CaseStream(R) eAccess service that offers
Web-based access to both federal and state court records. In addition,
the company also introduced two additional state courts online -- New
Jersey and Connecticut -- for CaseStream subscribers to access via the
Internet.
The CaseStream eAccess service is now the most comprehensive
Web-based source for accessing and researching court records both
federally and at the state level. The enhanced CaseStream is the first
of a series of collaborative services to be released by CourtLink since
the June 2000 acquisition of MarketSpan(R) Inc., developer of the
CaseStream product.
"CaseStream eAccess is the first true demonstration of how our
subscribers benefit from the synergies of CourtLink and
MarketSpan," chairman, president and CEO, Henry Givray said today.
The new CaseStream service combines the comprehensive reach of the
CourtLink state court electronic access service, Classic, with the
simplified search procedures and user-friendly Web interface of
CaseStream, to create the most content-complete and user-friendly
eAccess service available. CaseStream subscribers can now conduct name
and case number searches across all state court content previously only
available through the Classic dialup product.
The incorporation of New Jersey and Connecticut state court records
signals the beginning of an aggressive campaign the company has embarked
on to extend online access to an increasing number of state courts, to
further broaden the service's reach for subscribers.
"CourtLink customers have been asking for access to more state
court records and simpler tools for locating relevant legal documents
across multiple jurisdictions." Givray continued, "Not only
did we deliver the industry's most powerful and complete eAccess service
for our subscribers, but with the addition of Connecticut and New Jersey
state content, we are demonstrating our continued commitment to extend
our coverage of state and local content."
