Default Types of Internet Connection
There are three default types of connection in ModemMAX menu (Basic page):
High speed connection
This is adequate for Cable, DSL, ISDN, T1 and T3 connection
Dedicated lines
This is type for dedicated DSL and ISDN lines
Dial-up service
An appropriate connection type for 14.4k, 28.8k, 33.6k and 56k modems
In accordance with chosen connection type, ModemMAX changes your Windows
Dial-up Networking Registry settings, such as Maximum Transmission Unit,
Default Receive Window, and Time To Live. These settings may increase your
data rate over an unreliable or slow modem connection by discarding more
obviously corrupt signals and breaking up the signal into smaller, quicker
pieces.
