Why webRocket?

Not all computers are set up the same. Even two computers in the same
location can have very different network performance. A variety of factors can
affect your download speed including, but not limited to, connection type,
distance from your Internet Service Provider, line quality, network congestion,
your hardware and operating system installation, etc.
webROCKET 2001 offers one standard and four alternate configurations for each
type of Internet connection. You should first QuickOptimize using the Standard
method for your connection type. This is the most effective setting for most
people. If, however, you have not yet reached your desired speed increase, you
should try the other four options. Each option contains different settings to
improve performance based on your connection type. Use whichever optimization
method provides you with the fastest download time.
When you have optimized your software with the most effective settings, you
will only need to reopen the application if you make changes to your network. We
recommend optimizing once a month or whenever you modify your network hardware
or software. Because webROCKET makes adjustments on the system level, it does
not need to be open while you use the Internet. Once you have QuickOptimized
with the appropriate method, webROCKET is ready to optimize your connectivity.
When evaluating the improvements to your system, you should be sure that you
are looking at the total download time, not the modem connection speed or
download rate. Windows does not accurately calculate these last two measurements
and will not reflect the modifications made by webROCKET 2001. You can test
total elapsed time for transfers under approximately the same conditions by
using the same time of day and connection speeds to perform these tests.
